The route from Ochotnica Dolna to the summit of Lubań is one of the most demanding - if not the most - trails in this part of the Beskid Mountains. This is not due to technical difficulty, but rather the significant elevation gain over a short distance. The gradient consistently exceeds 20%, occasionally reaching as high as 30%.
A brief, flatter section - including a short descent after 4 kilometers of climbing - offers a moment to catch one’s breath; however, for those contending for top positions, this presents an additional challenge, as it requires a shift in rhythm and an even greater surge in intensity.
While the 2.5-hour time limit allows for completing the route at a brisk hiking pace, only a few know what it feels like to reach the summit in 40 minutes or less.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Start location: Ligasy Housing Estate, Ochotnica Dolna
- Finish location: Summit of Lubań
On the summit you'll find water and some snacks.
Your race pack includes 2 bags for storing your belongings:
- first for deposit before the start
- second as a drop bag for the finish line on the top of Lubań
First: if you need it, you may leave it just before the start in Ochotnica Dolna, we will transport it back to Szczawnica to the main deposit area.
Second: the drop bag for the finish must be left in the main deposit area in Szczawnica. You may leave it until 13:30. The drop bag will be transported to the summit, so you may use it when you cross the finish line.
All deposits and drop bags will be available for pickup after the race at the main deposit area in Szczawnica. To collect your bags, you'll need your bib number. All drop bags and deposits must be collected from the deposit area by 9:00 PM on Saturday.
If you are using your own transportation, you can use a parking provided by the Organizer close to the start line. However, it's not an option we recommend due to environmental protection, limited space for cars near the start and your personal convenience as after the race, it's just easier to go down on the other side of the mountain (-550 m down instead of -880 m and 1k less).
