Registration conditions

In Poland, it is not mandatory to present a medical certificate to participate in a competition.

However, we strongly recommend that all participants regularly undergo a stress test with their doctor for their own safety.

Places are reserved for elite athletes. The access conditions are listed on https://utmb.world/runners/elites-series/.

The registration for elite athletes work automatically based on UTMB Idexes, there is no e-mail contact required.

To another runner:

• Registration is personal. However, it is possible to transfer a registration to someone else until 25.03.2027 provided that the runner who will benefit from the registration transfer also meets the entry conditions listed above. 50 PLN transfer fee applies.
• Once the recipient has accepted and completed the transfer, the original registrant will be cancelled and refunded. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. The transfer fee will be deducted automatically from the refund.

To another race of the same event:

• It is possible to transfer a registration to a shorter distance until the registration closing date (April 2, 2027) and in the limit of places available. In this case, no refund will be made. The event organiser must be contacted directly via email: pieniny@service.utmb.world
• It is also possible to transfer a registration to a longer distance until the same deadline, in the limit of places available. In this case, the runner pays the price difference between the two races.
• Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out.

REGISTRATIONS WITH CANCELLATION INSURANCE:

Runners are offered the possibility to subscribe to a cancellation insurance with an external company offered by the organisation during the registration process. Purpose of cancellation insurance is to reimburse registration fees paid for Pieniny by UTMB event in case a participant applies to cancel his or her registration.

• In case of documented cause (documentation will be asked) according to the conditions of the insurance company, you will get a 100% refund of the race bib cost.
• If there is no documented cause, 70% of the bib costs will be refunded. Runners who wish to subscribe to the cancellation policy will be asked to pay an additional 10% of the total amount, to be added to the registration fee.

To cancel your registration and apply for a refund, you need to access your registration dashboard and click on "Declare a cancellation claim", your registration will be cancelled and your refund request form will be adressed to the insurance.

Cancellation insurance must be booked exclusively at the time of registration.

Medical cover in Poland: mountain rescue is free of charge for all runners, including foreign runners. Hospital treatment is not covered for non-Polish runners. International runners are strongly advised to take out personal insurance;
